Mirpur Hindu village in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been witnessing protests by farmers against a proposed landfill and solid waste management plant. Villagers say the project could severely impact their health, farmland, and groundwater. According to them, the site is too close to residential areas, raising concerns about long-term environmental damage. The administration, however, maintains that all environmental norms will be followed and says the plant is essential for scientific waste dis
